The 16th Lympsham Harvest Home since its restart in 2001 was held on Saturday 9th September 2017. The weather leading up to the event had not been great with some torrential downpours, however, on the day we escaped the majority of showers until everyone was under cover of the marquee.
Tickets for the event sold out almost two weeks beforehand which shows the level of support there is for the Harvest Home in Lympsham.
Unfortunately, one element overshadowed the rest of the day and the Harvest Home Committee would like to personally apologise to everyone who attended the Harvest Home lunch who may have been offended or upset by the content of one of our speeches.
As a Committee, we only strive to put on an event where everyone can enjoy themselves with friends and family and we are disappointed that the ethos of the event was not respected on this occasion. The Committee is determined to find a way through this and will put processes in place to ensure that this does not recur.
You can be assured though that Lympsham will continue to have a Harvest Home in 2018.
